Synsam is one of Skandanavia's leading Glasses retailer. Based in Norway, Sweden and Finland. This year they decided to use Bigsky Productions to shoot their advertising campaign in Cape Town, due to it's wonderful crisp light and cloudless blue skies. Based out of Camps bay in a beautiful villa, Synasam was able to make the best out of Cape Town. This Advertising Campaign was shot by Morton Qvale. . Morton Qvale made use of Cape Town's natural beauty and panoramic scenery by shooting on beaches and the pristine Table Mountain roads. The team opted for a shoot-and-stay location from Amazing spaces allowing for ease of production and comfort while shooting in a beautiful and luxurious location. Mothercare and Early Learning Centre from the UK just completed photographing their SS12 in Cape Town with Bigsky Productions. Every year after the shoot, Mothercare & ELC donate their entire toy collection and wardrobe to a worthy school or cause and this years donation was received with tears of joy and jubilation, thank you Sam Mosedale and Louise Jones! ELC are one of our oldest clients and although the shoots are hard work for all involved having fun and keeping energy levels high are key factors when working with kids. Ian Boddy was the photographer on this shoot and the collaboration between his photos and design guru Cathy Bell from the agency of Thorneycroft Bell is set to produce something sensational, click here for their design studio website.

Ian has been photographing kids for the past 10 years and has 3 of his own. The way he interacts with the children and gets the shot with the least amount of fuss is something to behold. Ian is London based and shoots for a wide range of advertising, retail, design and editorial clients. MOTHERCARE/ELC SS12 SHOOT IN CAPE TOWN

This vibrant and colourful TV Commercial was produced for Woolworths by Bigsky Productions. Woolworths is one of South Africa's top retailers. BigSky Productions searched for all available talent in South Africa: Looking for the most versatile and skilled dancers, actors and models to produce this energetic and effective Television Commercial. We used current and past World Champion Hip-Hop dancers, giving this commercial a musical edge and dancing professionalism unmatched in South Africa. Keep your eyes open for more to come soon. Special thanks to choreographer Adele Blank for working with the team and getting the dancers prepared for the short time they had on set to perform.

Guy Neveling is a well respected international advertising photographer who predominantly lives in Cape Town.  Judging by his work its no surprise that he has been selected as Archive top 200 Ad Photographer Worldwide 5 years running.

A common trend for Ad Agencies coming to Cape Town for the beautiful locations on offer is to utilize the talented photographers that we have in South Africa. Major reasons for this is the local knowledge that photographers have with regards to light, locations and general conditions which all positively influence the successful outcome of the shoot. Guy is one of these talented photographers and when agency Grey from Frankfurst in Germany came to South Africa for a Gallus shoe campaign it was Guy's local knowledge which helped them execute the shoot to perfection. Bigsky Productions just completed a burst of TVC's for retailer Woolworths, here is the first one that flighted last week. This Vibrant and Fun commercial showcases the summer dresses that are currently inshore at the moment. Click here to view the commercial.

The crew were top notch in their hardwork and professionalism. Lighting the perspex box was a real challenge, the box had to be specifically designed and tested before the commercial commenced.

Eight gorgeous models were selected, not only did they have to look beautiful but they also had to dance in the box and dance they did. We look forward to showing you more work which is flighting soon.

This house is sensational example of the versatility and diversity of shoot locations in Cape Town on Amazing Spaces books. Situated just 20min from the center of Cape Town, making it a very convenient and suitable location for productions of Photo shoots or Commercials with Bigsky Productions. It it is a magnificent example of the best of modern architecture. This house boast a multilevel  open plan space,  with beautiful light and strong views. The well-conceptualised building elements of glass, wood and steel impressively tie together this location. One of the main and most impressive features is the pool built on the mezzanine level, with underwater glass windows which illuminate the lower-floor rooms.  The ultra modern and stylish interior speaks to clean and understated opulence. This is a gem of a location and BigSky Productions is pleased to present this house as our "Location of the Week".

Bigsky did a great sports shoot with some of the contracted Puma Springbok Players. This Print Campaign was for the 2011 World Cup.

We first met Andrea Olivo on an Italian Grazia Magazine shoot in Cape Town. Originally from South Africa, Andrea left to go and work and live photography in the fashion capitol Milan. It was here that he has honed his photo skills and worked with some of the best in the business, names like Signe Vilstrup, Roberto D'Este, James White and Anthony Mandler.

Built in 1929 to reflect the spirit of 18th Century Venice, Casa Labia was the former residence of Count and Countess Labia, and is now a national monument. This location is something special and has a very "period" and opulent feel to it. Great for Lingerie and up market fashion catalogue or editorial.
